First Contact & Consent Form
We are a Wirral & Cheshire based service helping people across the North West of England only.
At The Martin Gallier Project, we provide Immediate, non-clinical support for those affected by suicide, with no waiting lists, no criteria, and no barriers to access. Our service is built on accessibility, compassion, and immediate action.
What We Offer:
Immediate access to support for anyone considering or affected by suicide — no diagnosis or professional referral required. (16+ for those considering suicide, any age for suicide bereavement support.)
All referrals are contacted within 24 hours by a dedicated Suicide Intervention or Bereavement Worker
Skilled, compassionate support delivered by an experienced team with a deep understanding of suicidal crisis and bereavement, often rooted in lived experience
A focus on identifying the “third option” — a choice to stay safe for now — supporting individuals to explore reasons for living when hope feels lost
Collaborative, comprehensive safety planning, tailored to the individual and designed to disable suicide plans
Practical, person-centred support that is responsive to each individual’s needs
No assumptions, no judgement — just real support, when and where it’s needed most
Our Promise to You:
The Martin Gallier Project offers timely, barrier-free support.
Once you submit this referral, a member of our team will contact you within 24 hours.
To ensure you receive support as quickly as possible, please look out for our call and answer where you can. When calls go unanswered, it can delay support and reduce our ability to respond to others in crisis.
