The Martin Gallier Project is proud to present A Forget Me Not Christmas 2026, a heartfelt and festive evening dedicated to remembering those we have lost to suicide.
Inspired by our Forget Me Not bereavement support group, this special evening brings people together at a time of year that can feel particularly difficult following a bereavement.
Christmas can magnify an empty chair, a missing voice and the traditions that no longer feel quite the same. A Forget Me Not Christmas creates a space where those feelings don't need to be explained.
It is an evening to remember, reflect and celebrate the people who remain such an important part of our lives.
Whether you come to listen to the performances, remember someone special or simply spend time amongst people who understand, you are welcome.
What to Expect
Held in the beautiful surroundings of Christ Church, Port Sunlight, the evening will include:
A Church Filled With Light:
When you arrive, the church will already be illuminated by candles, each one lit in memory of somebody who has died by suicide. Each light represents a person loved, missed and remembered. Together, they will create a beautiful tribute to all of those who are no longer physically with us, and a reminder of the many lives and families touched by suicide.
Live Performances:
Throughout the evening, we will be joined by some wonderful performers bringing music, dance and musical theatre to A Forget Me Not Christmas. There will be moments to reflect and remember, alongside moments of warmth, hope and Christmas spirit.
Festive Refreshments:
Seasonal refreshments will be available during the evening, giving everyone an opportunity to spend time together in a warm and welcoming environment.
A Community That Understands:
Above all, A Forget Me Not Christmas is about being together. There is no expectation to talk, share or participate. You can experience the evening in whatever way feels right for you. Whether your loss was recent or many years ago, you are welcome.
Performances:
We are incredibly grateful to be joined by some wonderful performers for A Forget Me Not Christmas 2026.
We are honoured to welcome Sing Their Name Choir back to A Forget Me Not Christmas. Made up of people who have themselves been bereaved by suicide, Sing Their Name Choir brings together voices connected through shared experience. Their performance will bring music, remembrance and hope into the evening, honouring those whose names and memories continue to be carried with us.
We are delighted to welcome back Intensity Dance Company, a local dance company made up of incredibly talented children and young people. Their Musical Theatre group will be performing for us during A Forget Me Not Christmas, bringing their energy, talent and creativity to this very special evening. We are so grateful to the children and young people, their families and the team at Intensity for once again being part of this event.
Following her beautiful performance at last year's A Forget Me Not Christmas, we are delighted to welcome Wendi B back for 2026. Wendi brought something incredibly special to last year's evening, and we are so pleased that she will once again be joining us to perform as we come together to remember those we have lost.
Remember Somebody Special:
A Forget Me Not Christmas is, above everything else, an opportunity to remember. When you arrive at Christ Church, candles will already be burning throughout the church in memory of those who have died by suicide. As part of your ticket, you can dedicate one of these candles to somebody special to you. You will also have the opportunity to include your loved one in our online Book of Remembrance, creating a lasting space where their name and memory can be honoured.
Our online Book of Remembrance remains available throughout the year because remembrance does not begin and end with one evening. For those who are unable to attend A Forget Me Not Christmas in person, a Book of Remembrance Only option is also available.
