About The Martin Gallier Project…

The Martin Gallier Project is a suicide prevention, intervention and postvention charity which offers immediate access to non-clinical support to anyone over the age of 16 who is affected by suicide. This includes those experiencing thoughts of suicide, those supporting a loved one trough crisis, and those bereaved by suicide.

The Martin Gallier Project is fiercely dedicated to preventing suicide, breaking down stigma & supporting families across the North West. The project was set up in memory of Martin Gallier, Jessica Gallier’s father, who took his own life in 2017. This one of a kind project has been put together to tackle the areas that were lacking during Martin’s journey and the missed opportunities to save his life.

About the Service

The Cheshire & Merseyside Suicide Bereavement Service provides immediate, compassionate and practical support to individuals, children, young people and families who have been bereaved by suicide. Commissioned through CHAMPS Public Health Collaborative on behalf of Wirral Council, the service is delivered in partnership by The Martin Gallier Project and Alfie's Squad.

Our aim is to ensure that no one has to face the impact of suicide bereavement alone. We offer timely, person-centred support, helping people to navigate their grief, reduce the risk of further suicide, build resilience and access the right support at the right time. Working closely with local partners across Cheshire & Merseyside, we provide a responsive, joined-up service that places compassion, hope and recovery at the heart of everything we do.
